Local’s Market / Project Manager, Producer, Social Media Manager
May 2019, Del’s Bookstore, 304 E. Overland
This was the first event I ever held, which launched my love of
building community through opportunity. With the help of
another organizer, I held a small local artisan’s market. Guests
mostly ranged from the vendor’s own friends and family to
passersby. I hosted over 10 vendors, ranging from artists to
jewelers. I also was able to invite a couple of music acts, from
solos to soft rock bands, including one of the music acts
debuting performance.
Desert Gems Coloring Gallery / CEO and project manager
July 2019, printed by Tovar Printing, 1230 Texas ave.
In 2019, between my last semester of college and starting a
new job, I decided to add a personal project to my life-load. I
noticed there is a lack of opportunity in my hometown. Through
social media and connections I had previously established, I contacted artists in order to create an interactive art gallery in
the form of a coloring book.
Between July and December 2019, I collected two original drawings from each artist, their social media handles and other promotional content. I sourced a local printer, and with their help, we The books were printed for March 2020, right when the COVID pandemic began, halting the many plans of touring the product.
However, through online sales, copies have been sold to California,
Boston, Arizona, and Texas. This is currently being sold at Pop Hop in a local bookstore in Los Angeles, California.
Art City / project manager, producer
September 2020, Old Sheepdog Brewery, top floor. 3900 Rosa.
With the COVID pandemic in full swing, artists did not have as much opportunity to showcase work or connect with other artists. Art City presented a safe, pandemic-compliant environment. Apart from a gallery showcase of over ten artists and several vendors in the patio area, four other artists were paired off and asked to create an original piece live. The two pairs had never
worked together before and had very different styles. This was done to offer a challenge to work with someone they had not worked with before and create new connections.
Behind the Screens Film Convention / project manager, producer
September 2021, Moonlight Adobe Hall, Socorro, Tx.
This was a film convention which I produced with a local movie director. We championed other filmmakers and artists to showcase their work. Screenings of the chosen applicant’s works were paired with local artists that were given the task of creating an original piece based on the film. I managed every participant, set up drop off/pick up dates, maintained contact with the venue and attractions, including Laura Turon’s Paradox Immersive attraction.
Toma Gallery and Studios / CEO and general manager
Februrary 2021 - April 2023, 210 S. Poplar St., 79901
I started off as a general manager at what was originally known as Amano Collective, then turned Toma, where I ended up becoming the owner. I managed a precise team of three - accountant, security, a supporting event coordinator. I was the owner, general manager, and CEO. I also managed the memberships of over 25 artists, ranging from visual and performing arts to 3D arts to cinematography. The events at the gallery went through a screening process, which I supervised and finalized
Spring Your Art
February 2022, Power At The Pass. 1931 Myrtle.
Local venue Power at the Pass hired me in order to produce a local
artisans showcase. Visual artists included graffiti artists, painters, and
photography. The five music acts ranged from soft rock to jazzy hip hop. The participating vendors ranged from jewelers to plush toys to cactus plants in cans.
I also hired a local painter who uses live models as her canvas. She
created designs on her model using neon body paint, which glowed in the dark.
This event was to provide opportunity to local creatives. Some vendors sold out of their products, and artists were able to sell their original works.
“Soul Tie” music release party / project manager, producer
February 2022, Toma Gallery and Studios. 210 Poplar.
Del Rio, Tx. native Rae Lopez teamed up with hip hop artist Bombay to have a music release party. Held at my gallery and studio space, I created all the graphics for social media, press releases, including some video, scheduled the musicians, spoke with an outsourced live-event sound engineer, and found the ticket distributor. I also hired a local artist to be a body painter with neon paints. Below is a screenshot of the news article in the El Paso Times newspaper. You can google “El Paso Times Soul Ties article” for the full article.
“Hoy Es Por Ti”
